Shabaash is a daily word puzzle. Each guess gives you two scores: ✓ for correct letters in the right position, and × for correct letters in the wrong position.
Shabaash (शाबाश) is a Hindi expression meaning “Well done!” or “Bravo!”.
Yes. Shabaash is completely free. No account is needed and there are no ads.
✓ = correct letters in the right position. × = correct letters in the wrong position. A score of 4-0 or 5-0 means you solved it.
It means none of the letters in your guess are in the hidden word. Those letters are crossed out automatically on the keyboard in dark grey.
Yes. If the word has one A and your guess has two As, only one will be counted.

Practice mode gives you unlimited random words any time. It is a good way to learn and improve.
Yes. You can switch using the buttons at the top. Each word length has its own daily word and separate stats.
Those letters scored 0-0, so they are confirmed not to be in the word.
Those are personal note marks that you added manually by long-pressing a key.
Yes. Cross-outs are visual notes only. They never block input.
In Challenge mode, optional clues unlock as you play. Tap Clue 1 or Clue 2 when they appear.
Long-press the ✓ or × score box on any completed row to reveal one letter from the word.
Tap Stats in the game. Challenge and Practice stats are tracked separately for each word length.
Yes. Stats are stored locally in your browser, so clearing browser data removes them.
After finishing a game, tap Share to copy text, share to messaging apps, or share an image of your scorecard.
No. Shared results show your score grid, not the answer.
Yes. After the first load, the game works offline and your progress is saved locally.

When you visit the game, your browser downloads the game files from the website. Beyond that, your gameplay, guesses, and results are not sent anywhere unless you choose to share them.
